Making Results A Habit
“We do not compensate effort. We compensate results.” - Claude Comair, Founder DigiPen Institute Of Technology
Most of us spend time thinking about the toughest cases, the companies and stations where cracking the whip is the nicest part of the day. Yes, there are some of those stations, but there are far more where the problem is just as painful, but in a different way.
When the focus in on activity instead of accomplishment, people feel good about putting forth a good effort, but in fact they’re hurting not only themselves, but everyone else on the team. When lack of performance becomes the norm, it’s only a matter of time before the station encounters serious difficulties. When that happens everyone suffers.
What about you and your station? Are you focused on actual results, or are you just as happy with a good effort?
